About Us

In 1983, our founder, Eduardo, as a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate, wanted to apply himself in the field of technology.  It was here, in his hometown of Rosario, Argentina that he took his first steps to what would eventually become Presto Automation.

Spending his spare time in school studying electronic circuits and applications, he began an electronics repair business.  Repairing circuit boards, televisions, VCRs, and anything else he could get his hands on, he knew that his future was in technology.

The business ran smoothly, until the early 1990s when his older brother, another entrepreneur, had settled in British Columbia. He wrote back to Argentina, telling him of all of the opportunities available in Canada, suggesting he start his business here as well.

The ambitious Eduardo, never turning away from opportunity, took his brother up on the recommendation and moved to British Columbia only a few years later.

After about a year in BC, he moved with his wife to Toronto, where he caught an eye for industrial automation technologies.  He continued his electronics repair business throughout the GTA, raising funds and studying industrial automation technologies in the evenings for his venture.

Upon completion of his studies, he went off into the industrial sector, designing, installing and repairing automated machinery for several prominent manufactures in varying sectors.

In 2005, Presto Industrial Machines was officially registered in Ontario, and Eduardo put his knowledge, ambition, and skills to the test.  Presto focused on serving clients throughout Ontario with design, installation and repairs on automated machinery, CNCs, and custom turn-key equipment.

Recently, the torch has been passed on to Eduardo's son, Ryan.  Having spent a majority of his lifetime exposed to the automation sector, and specializing in automated systems integration, he is excited to bring a fresh perspective and to continue the Presto legacy.

Our aim is to enable manufacturers worldwide to create, maintain, and increase their competitive edge through safe, efficient, and cost-effective modern automation solutions.
